![]() ![]() It doesn't have the ability to draw/write or layout functions, and that often tips the scale for me toward Notability in hardcore note taking. It also has scripting capabilities that is likely beyond most hard core users. Previously available as a one-off 8.99 purchase, Notability for iPhone, iPad, and Mac is now free to download on the App Store, but not all the features are available in the 'freemium' version. For me, the more productive I am, the more free time I have to enjoy a better quality of life. ![]() ![]() I really like Bear's tagging system and markdown capabilities. You don't need to download and use each and every app. I do use Notes in my iPhone, but my two Go To apps for notes are Notability and Bear. Notability is stellar on an iPad, and in that it can search handwritten notes it's one of two Go To apps for me. Keep in mind, Microsoft produces OneNote to work across all their hardware platforms, and most of these note taking apps (even OneNote) is probably ideally suited for iPad type devices. It seems a laptop+tablet would be way more cumbersome, and that's probably why most apps don't have that feature. Why do you want to draw on your laptop's drawing tablet? Why not just use an iPad? (maybe you don't have an iPad, which is certainly reasonable) I hate it when I ask for advice, and someone questions why I would want to do 'that'. ![]()
